Materials Needed:
Scissors
Glue
Colored paper or construction paper to print or trace the templates onto
A background paper to glue the cut outs onto
Optional: instead of paper eyes, use Googly/Wiggle Eyes (small plastic imitation eyeballs)
Optional: A craft material for one of the animal's features for each letter (templates for paper alternative to craft material included or an alternative suggested)

Instructions:
Print off as many templates as needed for your children/students onto an appropriate color paper
Cut the individual template pieces out (you can just cut to separate and then have the children cut the shape out exactly or you can do all the cutting for them)
Organize or pass out individual template pieces as you see fit
Display the animal picture on a projector screen or computer, or print a copy for display (one print out per purchase of the animal photo)
Display the finished craft example for children to have a model to guide the construction of their craft
Explain and demonstrate how to complete the craft
Children will cut out the templates(unless you do that for them) and glue them onto a background page. Some children may need help depending on their abilities and some materials are more difficult to cut and put in place than others.
Optional: add other literacy elements to the project such as identifying the beginning sound of animal name, writing the name of the animal on the page, writing a capital and lowercase letter on the page, etc.
